I have a good idea
I found a great website that you should check out Free Rice. It tests your vocabulary and for every word you get right they will donate 20 grains of rice to the UN World Food Program. It's a little addicting I'll warn you - I got a score of 35, and managed to get 300 grains of rice donated in just a few minutes. Have fun!
We are still trying to figure out what we can feed Dillon who only has two bottom teeth and refuses to eat baby food. Any ideas?

9 mo check up
Noah and Ashton had a very busy morning - Dillons doctor first thing, then off to little league tryouts for Noah. He did alright, they had a pitching machine which he hasn't used before so that was new, then off to catching where he did better. Next we rushed to the easter egg hunt. They had the areas roped off by age and there was no 5-7 so we had Noah go with the 8-12 as opposed to the 3-4. I stayed with Ashton where he had a great time and got lots of eggs, so many in fact that I had him share with a little guy who didn't do so well. Noah didn't think he got enough and was quite pouty about it. You can imagine how much sympathy I had for that. After that we went to the deli for lunch and then checked in with Sheri since the boys had been planning to have a sleep over with Brayton and Davin while they are visiting. Well...Davin is sick and has a fever. Ugh! We are all just getting better and Dillon has only been healthy for a few days, so...much to their dislike I decided to keep them home. We send our love to Davin and hope he gets better, the boys were so upset its all I heard about for the rest of the day! Ashton was very worried that Davin would need to go to the doctor. If wishes could make him better, he would be great!

How was your spelling test, Noah?
Of course I asked, "Why".
He replied, "Well, I was pretending that I had the hiccups. So, I didn't finish."
This resulted in "the look" from me and I asked, "Do you think that was a good idea?"
Seeing the look, he replied "Um, no."
"Remember when I said if you got another bad grade on your report card I would take the wii away?"
"Yes"
"I meant it."
"Okay, I won't pretend to have the hiccups again during a test."
"Good, thanks"

Sick...again
Sunday Noah had skiing again, the season is wrapping up and he has his last lesson the week after easter where they do a little race and ski through the terrain park. While he was skiing Ashton went to Gramie and Papa's for a visit. I guess they were sitting on the couch and Mom leaned over to pick something up and when she sat back up Ashton told her, "I wiped a booger on your back." Mom got a kleenex and told him to wipe it off, but he forgot where he put it. Lovely! That night, he developed a fever and woke up at 11 at night wheezing and coughing so bad he was crying that he couldn't breathe. So I gave him a breathing treatment and brought him back to bed with us. At around 12 Dillon woke up and I got him back to sleep and then he woke up again at 12:30 when I gave up and brought him back to bed with us. I needed to get some sleep, my alarm was going to go off at 4am and I still hadn't slept. Not that I got any sleep with two little boys on either side of me. Got up again at 2 to give Ashton more Tylenol, and then tried to get back to sleep. How was your night?

KCRA reports in high definition
Usually, when we get home in the evenings we watch the news. Not always, but most of the time. And we usually get whining from Ashton that consists of, "I don't like KCRA reports in high definition!" Funny boy!
We have had a busy week, we tried to go see the Monster Jam on Saturday, but it was sold out. So we went to see Spiderwick Chronicles instead. It was a good movie, but definitely scary for a 3 year old. Ashton spent most of the movie in my lap where I covered his eyes for a lot of the scary parts. Ashton was very disappointed that we didn't see the monster trucks, the next day he asked if we could still go and, "could you drive my truck for me, because I don't know how to drive." I had to explain that the monster trucks were gone that we couldn't get any tickets and even if we had gone, we would have only gotten to watch them, not drive them. He was also curios today as to how Dillon got in my tummy and whether I swallowed him.
Noah had another lesson at Alpine this weekend and got to ride the pony tow "Tiegel Poma" and thought it was great. I think those are horrible, I can't stand up for the life of me holding on to those, but I pretty much suck at snowboarding and that's why I don't do it. But, Noah had a great time and is getting much more comfortable and actually enjoying his skiing.
He missed school Friday for a dentist appointment, where they discovered another cavity in Noah's mouth. It appears that where his back teeth are touching he is getting cavities. The dentist assured me that it is pretty normal, but we have stopped eating the things he said were big culprits in these cavities (gummy candies/snacks, beef jerky, etc) and started flossing daily (mostly). We are even using a fluoride rinse, but still we have a cavity. Ashton did great this time, at our last appointment I nearly killed him. He flat out refused to cooperate, he would not let them take xrays or look in his mouth, let alone clean his teeth. They had to take him to a "quiet room" (pediatric dentist code word for the room where they can shut the door for the really terrible kids) to do the exam. I have never been more embarassed in my life. This time though we talked about it a lot before hand and had a good idea of what was going to happen and how he would behave. When the girl came out to get the boys she said, "Today we are going to try and get xrays and a cleaning for Ashton." I replied, "Oh, he will cooperate today. We talked about it." After they were done she asked what I bribed him with, I told her nothing I just talked to him about what behavior was expected. After our visit to Alcatraz where they said one of the rules was, "There is no reward for good behavior, only punishment for bad" I have decided this is a pretty good motto. Obviously, rewards work well for kids, but I want to make sure they are clear on what we expect from them regardless of reward or punishment. Those things are a result of their meeting (or not meeting) our expectation.
Well, I am now typing one handed while holding Dillon, so I'll try to catch up later!

SmooshFace!

He is moving! He pulls himself up onto anything he can get to now. He discovered this little chair in his room last night and just loves it.
Noah had to read a biography and he chose Benjamin Franklin. We were reading that he was one of 10 boys, and I asked Noah what it would be like if he had 9 brothers and he said our house would be crazy and that I would be saying, "I'm nuts from all these boys!" You got that right Noah.
Ashton got his new belt and is loving it, he can do it all by himself and his pants now stay up. I wish I had thought of this idea it brilliant!
We spent the weekend at home, the boys got their new games for the wii. They got Diego, Playground, and Carnival Games. Thanks to Brayton and Davin and Great Grandma for Christmas presents that we just now got to take advantage of. The boys thank you and I do too, because I got to clean the house while they played!
