We are definitely having signs of summer around here...lots of bumps and bruises and collisions on scooters and bikes. Noah is still playing baseball and Dillon is still trying his very best to get on the field. I have only watched one game this season and that is when Troy took the boys down to Reno to Ed and Sheri's where they were going to spend the night. Otherwise, I spend my time chasing after Dillon and trying to keep him off the field. That kid is fast - if I let him out of my arms reach he is on the field and I am running out there after him. The minute he sees me running after him, he takes off faster and starts giggling like a crazy baby! A lot of the ER doctors have boys around the same age as Noah and one of them was teasing me at a game saying, "Gee lady, can't you control your kid?" I laughed and said, "I have 3 boys there's no controling them you just kind of corral them!"
Last night I spent over 2 hours in line signing up Noah for Adventure Camp 3 days a week for the summer and Dillon for Pre-school for the summer. Good times...
And I now have about $1500 on my credit card to show for it. Nothing is cheap around here. The good thing is that Noah gets to do some really fun things this summer. Like paddling boarding, bouldering, ropes course, biking from TC to Squaw, Emerald Pools, I can't remember the rest. This is the first year he has been old enough to go to this camp. Every day they meet at the Rec Center and then leave from there. A new activity every day, perfect for my little boy that loves to keep busy! He is so excited and so I am, I can't wait to see him asleep in the car on the 5 minute drive home. Haha!
Dillon is going to start preschool 2 days a week for 2 hours each of those days. I am so excited for him, I kind of expected to be a little sad, signing up my baby for preschool, but I was happy to be doing it. He has gotten to stay home at my mom's and now he is ready for a little socialization and I'm excited for him! He keeps saying, "School, cited." and tells me that he going to ride a bike. He is going to be so cute!
All of our friends came up to Reno for the weekend and we went out with them. I have been trying to compose something to try and explain the friendship that we all share and maybe I'll be successful and post it here...but, I am truly thankful that I have friends that have known me since highschool (and even some that have know me longer.) I am proud of the people they have become and love getting to see them!
